Built to Last® warrants all products sold to the original purchaser for a period of twenty-five (25) years for residential use and ten (10) years for commercial use from the original date of purchase. Residential use is defined as being for your personal use only. Commercial use covers any commercial property and rentals of any kind. Built to Last® furniture shall be free from material defects, and shall not splinter, crack, chip, peel, rot, or suffer structural damage.
Exceptions
Built to Last® shall not be held liable for any defect, failure, or damage resulting from the following:
- • Built to Last® HDPE products are made with UV stabilizers to minimize fading; however, upon exposure to the sun, all colors may fade to some degree over time
- • Normal loss of color due to exposure to the sun, chemicals or cleaners that may discolor the furniture
- • Normal wear and tear (Residential only)
- • Color or pattern variance between any new replacement section or pieces and other sections and pieces
- • Damage caused by acts of God, accident, neglect, or abuse (i.e. burns from cigarettes or other heat sources, using sharp objects on furniture that may scratch or gouge the surface, etc.)
- • Modifications made to the furniture by the owner or other parties
- • Rust or corrosion of stainless-steel hardware (Please review care and maintenance section for instruction on how to care for your furniture)
- Porch Rocker NoticeThe Built to Last® Porch Rocking Chair was discontinued many years ago. We have nearly exhausted our supply of replacement parts and will no longer be able to provide repairs. We will honor repair requests until December 31st, 2020 or until we have completely exhausted our minimal supply of replacement parts. We encourage you to call us at 252-232-0055 or email us at [email protected] to notify us of your issue. We will advise you if we have the parts available to repair your chair. For our customers that live outside the area, please email us and attach pictures of the damaged parts and we will advise you from there. Thank you for your understanding.
Care and Maintenance
Use the following methods to keep your Built to Last® furniture looking new.
Normal Cleaning Instructions:
- • Use warm, soapy water
- • Wash furniture down with a clean cloth to remove dirt
- • Rinse thoroughly
- • For additional cleaning power, add 1/3-part bleach to the mixture
- • Apply mixture to furniture and allow to sit on furniture for a few minutes
- • Use a soft bristle brush to remove dirt in surface grooves
- • Rinse thoroughly
Pressure Washing Instructions:
- • Use the wide spray nozzle (not to exceed 1,500 psi)
- • Keep nozzle at least two to three (2 to 3) feet away from the furniture
- • Spray off furniture, then follow normal cleaning instruction
- • Rinse thoroughly
Note: Customers living in coastal areas, where salt build-up is a concern, should rinse their furniture off on a monthly basis to remove salt build-up. This will also reduce the likelihood of tarnish and rust setting in and damaging the stainless-steel hardware.

- • Clorox Cleaner + Bleach
- • Clorox Cleanup
- • Wet & Forget
Salt Buildup
- • Equal parts of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle
- • Spray inconspicuous area to ensure it doesn’t discolor the surface that you are planning to clean
- • Let it soak for a few minutes
- • Scrub with a stiff bristled brush
- • Apply more solution as needed
- • Rinse off with clean water
Tarnish and Rust
- • Ready Strip Rust Remover
- • Spray inconspicuous area to ensure it doesn’t discolor the surface that you are planning to clean
- • Let it soak for a few minutes
